Blade & Soul NEO Adds Two Dark Realm Dungeons in Moonwater Plains Pt. 3, Launching May 27

Published:

Blade & Soul NEO continues its rollout of new content with Moonwater Plains, Part 3, arriving May 27 as a free update on NC America’s PURPLE platform. This latest patch introduces two new Legendary Dungeons that take players into the corrupted “Dark Realm,” bringing high-stakes PvE challenges and multi-phase boss fights designed to push party coordination and skill to the limit.

The update expands on Blade & Soul NEO’s reimagined world, which launched earlier this year with upgraded visuals, new combat features, and revamped systems. Moonwater Plains Pt. 3 builds on the previous two updates by deepening the game’s dungeon content and continuing to lean into its darker narrative themes.

For those unfamiliar with NEO, its reimagined version of the classic version of Blade & Soul.

New Dungeons:

  • The Twisted Labyrinth
    • Structured across three underground floors linked by passageways and jumping sections (“platform windwalking”).
    • Players battle through a mix of mechanical and elemental bosses, including:
      • Minou, a minotaur-like automaton
      • Raijin and Fujin, twin bosses representing thunder and wind
      • Once defeated, Raijin and Fujin fuse to become the final boss: the Tempest Lord
    • Quest-giver: Old Man Cho
  • Highland Exile
    • Set in a haunted execution site where demonic spirits have merged with the natural environment
    • Features grotesque, tree-like monsters corrupted by dark energy leaking from the rift
    • Boss encounters include:
      • Soul Thresher, a malevolent creature that feeds on lingering souls
      • Colossal Hexwood, a towering final boss formed from both spiritual and environmental decay
    • Also guided by returning quest NPC Old Man Cho
