Blade & Soul NEO, classic-like version of the fantasy MMO from NC America, has rolled out a new class called the Warlock. This update, now live on Steam and PURPLE, marks the fourth major content addition since the game’s February launch, and is one of the most significant updates of 2025.
The Warlock class brings a new medium-range caster archetype, offering fresh options for both new and returning players. Key features of the Warlock include:
- Soul Shackle: Binds enemies in place with spectral chains for crowd control.
- Dragoncall: A powerful, delayed attack that deals significant damage.
- Quell: Generates an energy shield to block incoming attacks.
- Repulse: Pushes opponents away, providing defensive utility.
- Ability to summon a Thrall: A demon companion that aids in combat and crowd control.
This update is available at no additional cost for Blade & Soul NEO players on both Steam and PURPLE. For those unfamiliar, Blade & Soul originated in South Korea and has maintained a dedicated following due to its blend of action oriented combat, open world exploration, and PvP content.
The Steam version currently holds a “Mixed” user review rating and has seen modest concurrent player counts, peaking at 548 players in the past 24 hours.
