Diablo 4 Is Now Available On Game Pass For Both PC And Xbox At No Additional Cost

Published:

An Activision Blizzard game is now available on Game Pass for the first time as Diablo 4 officially arrives on the Xbox and PC game streaming service. If it’s your first time using the service, Microsoft offers detailed instructions on how to install the game on PC along with an overview of the game’s lore and gameplay mechanics.

Game Pass works just like any other digital storefront with the added bonus of being able to install and play hundreds of games without having to actually buy a copy. You’ll need to pay for a monthly subscription though. Note that some games also require separate subscriptions or the purchase of game time. That isn’t the case with Diablo 4, but you’ll need to link your Battle.net and Microsoft accounts if you’ll be playing it through Game Pass.

“If you’re new to Diablo, you will be able to dive right into the demonic world of Diablo IV with no need to have played the previous titles,” Microsoft explains. “Across Sanctuary, you’ll delve into replayable, procedurally generated dungeons, while progressing through the story and getting more potent items and materials for your wanderer.”

New players are advised to create characters on the seasonal realm and complete the story mode first before taking on seasonal content. “When a season ends, your seasonal characters and their progress are converted to non-seasonal characters, so once you’re through the story mode, you’re good to roll a new character for Season 4 dropping in May!” the studio said.
