On September 27, the Traveler will continue their adventures in Fontaine following the events of the Genshin Impact Version 4.0 patch. They’ll have to travel deeper into the sea, to the Fortress of Meropide in search of Childe. There they’ll discover the results of an experiment by the Fontaine Research Institute intended to help the nation survive that flood they seem to be destined to have.
Patch 4.1, “To the Stars Shining in the Depths”, will add both Fontaine’s judge Neuvillette and another high-ranking character we’ll meet in 4.1, Wriothesley the Due of the Fortress of Meropide, as playable characters. In case you’re wondering, the fortress is where all of Fontaine’s convicted criminals go. Of course, this is where we have to go looking for Childe.
Speaking of the Fatui, the Harbinger “Arlecchino” will be introduced in 1.0, because we can never get enough of the Fatui.
Of course, a new update for the game means new events. And this one brings a poetry festival in Mondstadt and Liyue. Details can be found in the video below.
