Square Enix has released Patch 7.2: Seekers of Eternity for Final Fantasy XIV Online, continuing the Dawntrail storyline and introducing new challenges. The update is part of a multi-phase rollout, with additional content arriving in Patch 7.21 (April 22) and Patch 7.25 (May 27). The biggest part of today’s patch is additional story content as well as a new tier of raids. The savage version unlocks on April 1.
Patch 7.2 Highlights (Available Now)
- Main Scenario Quests: Progress the Seekers of Eternity storyline.
- The Underkeep Dungeon: Explore a new underground zone.
- The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Tier Raid: Battle new bosses, with Savage difficulty unlocking April 1.
- New Trial – Recollection: Available in Normal and Extreme modes.
- Unreal Trial – Hells’ Kier: Face Suzaku (one of the Four Lords) at Level 100.
- PvP Updates:
- Start of PvP Series 8 with new role actions for large-scale combat.
- Return of Frontline (Secure) with balance adjustments.
- Duty Support: Added for Sunken Temple of Qarn.
Patch 7.21: Cosmic Exploration (April 22)
- Crafting/Gathering Activity: Collaborate with players to explore uncharted stars.
- Tool Enhancement Quests: Unlock advanced Cosmic Tools for crafters and gatherers.
Patch 7.25: Occult Crescent & More (May 27)
- Field Operations – Occult Crescent:
- Explore the mysterious isle in Shades’ Triangle.
- Conquer the Forked Tower, a 48-player dungeon with challenging foes.
- Allied Society Quests: Assist the Mamool Ja in establishing a new settlement in Yak T’el.
- Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures: Resume the comedic detective’s antics.
