Final Fantasy XIV is preparing for its next major content update, as Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, is set for release in early August 2025. The announcement came during the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, where game director Naoki Yoshida shared a first look at what players can expect from the upcoming patch.

- Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance Raid – Part 2: San d’Oria: The Second Walk: The crossover alliance raid inspired by Final Fantasy XI receives its next chapter.
- New Dungeon – The Meso Terminal: A new instanced dungeon for party-based PvE content.
- New Trial: Includes both Normal and Extreme difficulty modes for boss challenge content.
- New Deep Dungeon – Pilgrim’s Traverse: The latest entry in the roguelike dungeon series, known for their randomized layouts and high replay value.
- Unreal Trial – The Wreath of Snakes (Unreal): A revamped high-level version of the Seiryu encounter, scaled to level 100.
- Cosmic Exploration – New Planet: Phaenna: Adds a new area for crafting and gathering activities, expanding the content introduced in Cosmic Exploration.
- Further Hildibrand Adventures: More comedic side quests featuring the fan-favorite inspector.
- New Allied Society Quests – Yok Huy: Additional questlines for players to experience.
- New Treasure Dungeon – Vault Oneiron: A new dungeon focused on randomized loot and cooperative exploration.
