Today, SMITE released the “Protector of the Dead” update featuring the newest god, Maman Brigitte. She is a melee mage jungler who fights with daggers, a snake tattoo that jumps off of her arm, and a bottle of rum that lets her breath fire.
Much like Ao Kuang, she is classified as a Mage but has an assassin playstyle suited to jungling in the current SMITE meta.
Alongside the release of Maman Brigitte, SMITE is also celebrating with the Festival of Spirits event. Players can unlock five new skins like Roborat Ratatoskr, and Tabby Toil Ganesha. Event quests are free and reward players with cosmetics related to the new skins. The Collection Reward is Necromalic Martichoras, a chimera made of corpses.
