NetEase’s latest free-to-play game, FragPunk, launched on Steam on March 6th and quickly became a hit, peaking at 113,946 concurrent players. The game is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Developed by Bad Guitar Studio, a NetEase-owned developer, FragPunk is a 5v5 hero shooter that blends Valorant-style gameplay with a chaotic card system, ensuring no two rounds are ever the same. It features the classic “plant the bomb, defuse the bomb” mode popularized by Counter-Strike but adds hero-based mechanics for a fresh twist.
NetEase has seen recent success in the hero shooter genre, particularly with Marvel Rivals, further solidifying their presence in the Western market.
