Path of Exile 2’s Major Update, Dawn of the Hunt, Set for April 4 Release

Published:

Grinding Gear Games has announced the release date for Path of Exile 2’s highly anticipated 0.2.0 update, titled Dawn of the Hunt. The update, which brings a significant influx of new content, will be fully revealed during a live stream on March 27, followed by its launch on April 4.

What’s Coming in Dawn of the Hunt?

Since Path of Exile 2 entered early access, players have received smaller patches focused on balance and minor updates. However, Dawn of the Hunt marks the next major step in the game’s development, introducing substantial new features and improvements.

Key additions expected in the update include:

  • New Ascendancy Classes: Likely the Druid and Huntress, based on teasers and previous developer statements.
  • New Weapons and Unique Items: Teasers have shown items like the Bringer of Rain Helmet and Hammer of Faith two-handed weapon.
  • Support Gems and Skill Tree Changes: New support gems and adjustments to the Passive Skill Tree system have been previewed.
  • Weapon Set Swapping: A new feature allowing players to save and switch between different weapon sets more easily.
  • Endgame Enhancements: New content and rewards to make the endgame experience more engaging.

Live Reveal and Launch Details

  • Reveal Stream: Grinding Gear Games will host a live stream on March 27 at 3 PM EDT on the Path of Exile [Twitch channel](insert link). The stream will provide a full breakdown of the update’s features.
  • Launch Date: Dawn of the Hunt will go live on April 4 at 3 PM EDT for PC and consoles.

Dawn of the Hunt is shaping up to be a major milestone for Path of Exile 2, bringing new classes, items, and gameplay features to the action RPG. With the live reveal on March 27 and the full launch on April 4, players won’t have to wait long to dive into the next chapter of Path of Exile 2.

The game’s biggest drawback today is the lack of content compared to the original game, but this update along with future ones should help to close that gap.
