The best MMO and multiplayer deals from Steam’s summer sale and beyond

Published:

I usually put a pithy line or two snarking about the annual Steam summer sale in this post, but this year, I can’t bring myself to do it because for once I have actually been really looking forward to it. That’s because I just got a Steam Deck (they’re surprisingly back in stock, by the way, after being OOS much of June), and I’ve got a wish list a mile long. And for MMO and multiplayer gamers, I did spy some goodies you might be interested in. Bonus: Nothing in this post is an affiliate link!
New World Aeternum is down to $36; ROTAE alone is now $18.
Guild Wars 2’s expansion bundles are 30-60% off. Janthir Wilds is down to $20 if you were waiting for that.
Guild Wars 1 is also on sale in its mega pack for $20.
RuneScape Dragonwilds’ early access is down to $24.
Project Gorgon fans can re-up their sub at 25% off. The game itself is now $10.
Embers Adrift is as promised $15.
• The Elite Dangerous base game is 6 dolla; Odyssey is 9.
Elder Scrolls Online’s base game is $5. Doesn’t look like there’s a deal on anything else.
EVE Online’s starter pack is $1.24 on the dot.
• Gamigo put Trove’s DLC on sale up to 50% off.
• Funcom actually put Anarchy Online, Secret World, and Age of Conan bundles on sale?
Fallout 76 is down to 10 bucks – gonna buy this one for my fam!
Valheim is also 10 dollars.
Wayfinder is actually down to $10 too.
The Quinfall’s early access is 80% off, so $4.
Mortal Online 2 is just under $13.
Pax Dei is just under 25 dollaroonies.
Once Human’s DLC is on sale.
Age of Water is 12 bucks.
Palworld is just under $23 right now.
• Basegame Diablo IV is $25.
Helldivers 2 is 20% off – thinking about letting my kid play this finally.
Lynked Banner of the Spark is around 18 bucks.
• Never bought Enshrouded? $24 atm.
Erenshor is basically single-player EverQuest, and it’s $17.
• Fancy some Lost Skies early access? It’s $20.
Terraria is on sale for $5 if you’ve somehow never grabbed it.
• MJ loves this one: Planet Crafter is $13.
• Krafton’s cutesy Dinkum is on sale for $16.
Last Epoch is 20% off.
ARK Survival Ascended is down to $22 and change.
Wurm Unlimited is 25% off.
Book of Travels isn’t really getting content, but it’s got a 20% off sale.
Temtem and Temtem Swarm are both on sale. Side-eye from the Kickstarter corner.
Last Oasis has the temerity to charge almost $10.
• … which is half the cojones shown by Atlas charging the same. Stop buying abandoned games.
War Thunder put all its bundles on sale for 50% off.
The Crew 2 is 70% off.
Myth of Empires is 10 dollars and change.
Citadel Forged with Fire is abandoned-ish but under $8.
Wild Terra is up to 75% off.
• Remember Spire Horizon Online? No, you don’t, which is why it’s 79 cents.
Update: Adding a few more from the comments and things I found after the fact!
Mechwarrior Online DLC is up to 60% off.
Destiny 2 has some sweet deals on Steam and GMG atm.
Astroneer is under 10 bucks right now!
Rabbit and Steel is down to $9.
REPO, the one Chris and MJ are obsessed with, is currently $8.
Conan Exiles is 10 bucks!
Nightingale is down to $18. Cheapest I’ve seen it.
Outside of Steam…
• Check out the major sales on World of Warcraft and the Diablo franchise over on Battlenet: War Within is $25, while Diablo IV and its expansion bundle are down to $42.
• If you aren’t a Guild Wars 2 on Steam person, you can get those same deals from ArenaNet directly.
• And both LOTRO and Dungeons and Dragons Online have some past expansions and bundles on sale. LOTRO’s Legacy of Morgoth is 20% off; older packs are between 30-70% off. DDO’s Magic of Myth Drannor is 30% off, while even earlier expansions are 50-85% off. This would be a good time to pick up the older ultimate fan bundles if you’ve been wanting them, as they often have boosts, character slots, cosmetics, toolkits, and carry-alls worth more than the sale price.
By all means, tell us about anything you spied that we didn’t include – and tell us what you’re getting!
