For far too long, a fundamental tension has existed for players of The Elder Scrolls Online who prefer to play on console. Plus side: You are playing on your console. Down side: You cannot use any add-ons on your game. Mixed side: Your cats have the potential to crawl all over you, screaming and pawing like furry little idiots. That one is sort of a mixed bag, and the latest update does not help with it at all, but it does allow console players to use player add-ons, so you now can enjoy the game modifications as you wish without ever having to get up from your couch. Or loveseat. Or beanbag chair. Wherever you sit with your console running, basically.
After players log into the game, they’ll need to navigate to the Options menu, then the Browse Add-ons menu in order to install them. It’s important to note that this change is only for players on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S consoles; those with older consoles are still left out of the fun for the time being. Moreover, plenty of fans have already started reporting problems with the new system. But at long last, add-ons and console play come together.
