The Gathering Online Collabs With Lord Of The Rings With New Bundles And Starter Set

Published:

On June 20th, Magic: The Gathering Online launched a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Lord of the Rings. The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth set is a straight-to-Modern set that players of Magic Online can collect and draft in Commander, Sealed Deck, or Eternal Constructed formats.

There are five separate bundles which include the Borderless Lands of Middle-earth Bundle that features six key locations of Bard-dur, Minas Tirith, Mines of Moria, Mount Doom, Rivendell, and the Shire. The other four bundles include some of Middle-earth’s most famous citizens. The Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, and Halflings. Some folks you might have heard of show up in these bundles including Aragorn, Elrond, Gimli, and Frodo.

There is also a starter deck available for those just getting into the game with two separate 60-card decks; one for Mordor and one for Gondor.

You can read all about this new collaboration for Magic: The Gathering Online from the Daybreak team (yeah, remember they took over?!) in the official blog post.
