Want to play Mario Kart but can’t because it’s too expensive and also you’re a bit of a Disney adult?
If you answered yes, then boy do we have news for you. Disney Speedstorm, an upcoming kart-racing game, has been confirmed for a free-to-play release on September 28. The game has been in Early Access since April 18, initially offering premium versions with additional content.
The developer, Gameloft, expressed gratitude for the feedback and support received during the Early Access phase, which contributed to the game’s improvements. This transition to a free-to-play model aims to allow more players to enjoy the competitive and cooperative racing experience, according to the team. Premium Founder’s Packs will still be available until the Early Access period ends and here’s to hoping they don’t totally botch the monetization.
