V Rising Devs Detail What They’ve Been Working On Post-Gloomrot

Published:

62.9% of V Rising players that responded to feedback say that V Rising is their first Stunlock Studios game and the only one they’ve played. 24.5% or players say they didn’t find any V Blood encounters frustrating. 28.4% of players admitted they would wait until a defender in a raid was vulnerable before stealing some loot. 43.9% of players have not engaged in V Rising’s PvP.

Some interesting numbers to be sure, but the real question is, what’s next for V Rising? As players, we are always looking ahead, not back. So Stunlock Studios gave us a little peek at what’s next in the vampire survival game.

In the next chapter of V Rising, the devs say we can look forward to a “grand conclusion” to the vampire legend. They say it is the end of your ascension, but the beginning of your legend. It doesn’t sound like they intend for this to be the final update to the game, just a cap on the current story they are telling. The next update will, however, mark the “complete” version of V Rising that will be the full release version (as the game currently remains in Early Access).

Whatever comes next will require around the same development time as Gloomrot, about one year, and they will be continuing to further develop existing systems to make them more engaging. They are also still looking at new possible features and adding more content. They also promise more and more polish along the way.

It sounds like we’ll be getting V Rising version 1.0 sometime next year, and I’m sure there are plenty of vampires out there looking forward to that.
