Warframe Rolls Out Isleweaver Update, Introducing Oraxia and Major Changes

Published:

Warframe, the long-running cooperative looter shooter from Digital Extremes, just launched its latest update, Isleweaver, across all platforms (PC and Consoles). This update marks a significant moment for the game, as it builds on the narrative introduced in Warframe: 1999 and adds a swath of new content, gameplay adjustments, and improvements aimed at both veterans and newcomers.

Isleweaver’s headline addition is Oraxia, the much-anticipated 61st Warframe themed around spiders, which the community has been requesting for some time. The update also delivers a new Clan Operation, an expanded area in the Kingdom of Duviri, and a host of visual and gameplay tweaks that continue Digital Extremes’ push to streamline Warframe’s player experience.

Key additions and changes in the Isleweaver update include:

  • Oraxia, the 61st Warframe: Introducing unique spider-inspired abilities, Oraxia lets players sling webs, cling to surfaces, summon spiderlings, and wield two new weapons (the Scyotid throwing weapon and Spinnerex whip). Oraxia can be earned through gameplay or purchased directly.
  • Expanded Duviri Area: Players who have completed the Warframe: 1999 Quest, The Hex, can now explore Scholar’s Landing, a new island in the Kingdom of Duviri, facing off against returning enemy factions and uncovering new lore threads.
  • Operation: Eight Claw: A new Clan Operation offers exclusive event rewards and fresh storylines, requiring players to work together to reclaim Scholar’s Landing.
  • Cosmetics and Customization: The update adds a new Deluxe skin for Citrine and introduces more TennoGen cosmetics, letting players further personalize their Warframes and gear with community-created designs.
  • Streamlined New Player Experience: The onboarding process has been updated with improved tutorials, quest flow, and quality of life changes, reflecting ongoing efforts to make Warframe more accessible to newcomers.

Warframe has maintained a steady presence in the free-to-play space since its 2013 debut, known for its fast-paced movement, deep customization, and ever-evolving world. The game hit 99,050 concurrent players on Steam today with the launch of this update.

Digital Extremes will also be sharing more about the game’s future at the upcoming 10th annual TennoCon event in July.
