The time for speculation is over as Blizzard Entertainment finally confirms a launch date for World of Warcraft: The War Within. The expansion is slated to launch on August 26 for Base and Heroic Edition owners, while those who purchased the Epic Edition or the Physical Collector’s Edition will get to jump in a few days ahead of the pack on August 22 in addition to other exclusive perks and rewards.
The War Within will kick off the three-expansion Worldsoul Saga which will continue on in the Midnight and Last Titan expansions. It will also introduce a host of new evergreen features and content including Hero Talents, Skyriding, Delves, and the new Warbands account-wide progression, cosmetic, and achievement system.
In preparation for the expansion’s launch and the Warcraft franchise’s 30th anniversary, Blizzard is currently offering “Welcome to Azeroth” bundle which will be available for a limited time for $24.99 and includes the Dragonflight expansion, a level 60 character boost, and 60 days of free game time.
